When people understand their health, they catch problems earlier, make safer choices, and lean less on emergency care. We've seen this work at scale before — seat belt and anti-smoking campaigns were health education, and they saved millions of lives. The evidence holds for families today: low health literacy is linked to more ER visits and hospital stays, and programs that build family health literacy have been shown to reduce them. Giving families a head start on health is how we keep people safer.

Every resource in The Well is reviewed by real people — youth, parents, educators, clinicians, and community partners — using a shared rubric that scores it on accuracy, clarity, safety, relevance, and whether they'd recommend it. We publish the results, so you can see who reviewed each piece, how it scored, and how it improved over time. We call it reviewing in the open: rather than asking you to take our word for it, we show our work. Content that misses the mark gets revised and reviewed again, or retired.

Health Force ALLY is our health educator certificate, and the front door to a health career. Where a generic course just delivers information, ALLY trains young people from the communities they serve as credentialed, near-peer health educators who go on to deliver real programming and create vetted content. It's built on the evidence-based ALLY model, aligned to national standards, and designed as the first step on a pathway into community health work, allied health, and beyond.

AISHA is our AI health education assistant, and it learns from the people you'd trust most. Every cohort of certified educators teaches AISHA in their own voice — their vocabulary, their lived experience, the way they'd explain something to a peer — so AISHA carries the voice of real, trained near-peer educators and gets sharper with every group that comes through. And everything it draws on comes from The Well, where content is human-reviewed and published in the open.

Our content is created by young people from the communities it serves, trained through Health Force ALLY. They build and curate resources for the people most like them — in their language, reflecting their experiences — which is what makes it land. Every piece is then reviewed by youth, parents, educators, clinicians, and community partners before it earns its place in The Well.

We measure it, and we publish what we find. The ALLY model behind our programming is backed by seven peer-reviewed studies, including two randomized controlled trials with more than 3,000 participants, showing meaningful gains in resilience and self-efficacy and reductions in anxiety. Youth rate the content in The Well an average of 4.58 out of 5 stars , and our community pilots show strong gains in health literacy and in young people's confidence finding the care they need. We track outcomes with validated assessments and report against our targets every quarter.
